Have heard great things about Keller and his skillset/upside. Jost might be a safer pick at that spot though.
I would put McLeod, Chychrun and Sergachev right after those two for your league setup.
For the league in my signature.
As the title says, I have 8th overall pick in the next draft and I'm looking on some advice on whom to pick. The way I have it ranked now for picks 1-6 is : Matthews, Laine, Puljujaarvi, Tkachuk, Nylander, Dubois. Then I'm not so sure... Names like Chychrun, Sergachev, Keller, McLeod and Jost pop up, but I can't really decide on which one I should set my sights. Of course this could change according to which team drafts them, but for now, how would you have them ranked? Also, names like Perlini, Pollock, Justin Bailey, Zboril, Juulsen, J.Roy, Merkley, Eriksson Ek, Bracco, Senyshyn, DeBrusk, Letunov, T.Lindberg, Paigin, Saarijarvi are available via WW, but I'm thinking they'll still be there after the draft.
Thanks!

I personally would be looking at Jost there, but Keller is close, and does have some great offensive potential. I'm grabbing whichever of those two is left.

Thanks for the advice so far (repped when I could).
If I left out a player you feel I could/should take instead of those I listed, feel free to chime in as well!

I'd go with Jost or Keller.

..has your league had its keeper deadline yet? perhaps its not as important to draft a raw rookie at No8 when theres a better option that wasnt able to be kept from the keeper deadline pool. just because you draft 8th doesn't mean you need to draft from this years class...but Jost then McLeod.

I would take Chychrun followed by Jost. I doubt Chychrun is there at 8 but if he is, go for it. Jost should still be there at 8. If you want to take a chance on a prospect from last year, I'm a huge Senyshyn fan! The kid scored 45 goals in his second OHL season this year, leading his team on a sub-par Greyhounds squad.

No, the keeper deadline is sometime near late august-early september. I'll keep my eyes open, but there's an auction phase before the draft so I doubt that any player worth keeping is left at the draft phase. 2016 draftees are not available during the auction, only during the draft along with whichever players haven't been acquired during the auction. This is why I'm setting my sights more towards Jost, Keller, Mcleod, etc and other young players I know aren't owned yet.

Jost for me too. Interested to see how his skills translate to AHL/NHL.
Looking at your initial post again, is there any reason Juolevi got the snub from your list? He's definitely a top 10 option.

A few other threads seem to have him and Chychrun lumped close enough together, so I just found it interesting that they weren't here. I would have put his upside 5 years from now around the 40-45 point range, but it is very possible that he ends up being a solid, two-way 30-35 point defenceman.
