Couple of lower tier guys who might look to make a more consistent mark in their lineup - Oscar Lindberg probably wont be in the 65 pt range, but look for him to be a staple in the lineup next season. The Rangers will probably have to make some changes, lots of free agents this year, and definitely a need to get younger. If he's lucky he'll keep up the 45 pt pace that he started with. His advanced stats aren't that hot so it might hold him back from gaining that ice time, but his offensive stats/60 are great. Jonathan Marchessault is in the same boat in the Bay. Not quite the offensive pts/60, and comparable advanced stats, but if he can improve on the other end of the puck he wont have to battle to stay in the lineup so much.

I had him down in my Capped column a couple weeks ago as someone to watch out for so I will throw his name in this thread too.

    Calle Jarnkrok.

He's been up on the top line for most of the second half of the season and even in the playoffs he's been centering Filip Forsbergs line a bit too.

While his 77 point rookie season was pretty nice, I would say Panarin is the best breakout candidate next year. Look for 150-200 pts.

Nice one Axeman, he caught my attention while playing on the Johansen line. Didn't know he was centering Forsberg's line too.

a few guys who I see having nice point jumps... probably not all into the 55-60 point land, but nonetheless

    Ehlers - 55
    Nylander - 45+
Anders Lee - sniff at 50+
    Alex Wennberg - 50-55
    Erik Haula - 50
    Burakovsky -50+
    Joonas Donskoi - 50+
    MacKinnon- 65+
    Trocheck - 60
Ryan O'Reilly - I like him to sniff at 70 next year
Nyquist - back into the 60's
    Tatar - low 60's
    Couture - 60's
    Namestnikov - 50's
    Sam Reinhart- 50's
    Tyler Johnson - 60's

Keep an eye on Conor Sheary, he clicked with Crosby and he should play LW on his line the whole season. Not sure if 45-50 points is enough to have value in all leagues, but he will not be on everbody's radar.

Forgot about Benoit Pouliot, possibly spending a whole season beside McDavid could be gold.

I'd expect a nice uptick from Domi. An obvious candidate of course, but didn't see him mentioned yet.

I'm going to guess that Maroon gets that gig. Did great once acquired from the Ducks. He's never realized more than 34pts in a season but 14 in 16 GP with the Oilers is certainly promising. A little older player for a breakout but still....

Anthony Duclair could also be poised for a breakout as well.

I'm intrigued by Colborne and somewhat surprised he hasn't been mentined in this thread yet.

I know, I somewhere read on this page that his statistics don't speak for a continued success like he's had it at the end of this regular season. Still, he's a big guy (multi cat...) who might just be entering his prime and he now has shown that he can do it. He continued to be on the Flames 1st PP... Not too lousy a position to be in IMO....

I agree that he would be a good one to take a flier on, but the under-rated guy on the flames for me is Michael Ferland. He spent a good portion on the top line at the end of the season, and neither his play or production looked out of place. Colborne may have been on the top PP, but he will be the first one to be taken off of it if they are not succeeding, or if another name is brought in during the off-season.

Strangely enough, I think Sean Monahan will break out next season. His 4th full NHL season and hopefully he's not used as the main shut-down forward anymore.

I'm a big fan of Monahan's, and could see him take a step forward. Maybe Bennett, too?

Scheifele had a breakout at the end of this past season. I could see him continuing that next season, bringing him around the 70 point mark. The guy's so dedicated to improving that he won't plateau for a while yet.
