    Inspired by Prairiedog's "Best Cover Songs" thread, I thought I would ask Dobber Nation what they listened to before taking to the ice, pitch, court or diamond. My buddies and I are heading to the city this weekend for the year's final tourney, and undoubtedly will here both of these songs quite a bit before getting on the ice:

    I always play bad when I listen to music before games. Don’t know why it just doesn’t click for me. I think I get to juiced up and I make bad decisions. I need to be calm on the ice.

    But Orleans by the Standstills (new) I really like listening too and I get energetic when listening to it.

    In high school, I played volleyball and you would practice attacks at the net, while the opponent was behind you on the same side of the court practicing digging. So home team usually played music before. We didn’t play music when we were practicing attack, instead we played “If we were a movie” by “Hannah Montana” when the other team attacked to psych them out.

    My favorite pre-game hockey CD would have been Offspring "Smash" and my favorite song that was played during warm-up back in my high school hockey days would have been Dragula by Rob Zombie:



    I would also agree with Eskimo Brother that anything Rise Against would be great as well.
