Comish Dynasty Looking for Two New Owners

Looking to replace two owners, one who has become busy with life and the other relegated out of the league (because that's what we do). Here are the broader details of this free league:

24 team roto dynasty league in Fantrax with 8 teams per tier. Bottom team in Tier 1 is demoted to Tier 2. Top team in Tier 2 is promoted to top tier, while bottom team in Tier 2 drops to Tier 3. Tier 3 winner is promoted to Tier 2 and the owner of the last place team in Tier 3 is replaced every year (owner given 1 year exemption from relegation). Started as a 30 team, three tier league back in 2008.

If you need babysitting, this league isn't for you. Worried about tanking? Don't even think about it in this league because the worse you do, the worse your draft position is and string a couple of weak seasons together and you could end up relegated out of the league entirely. The draft order is a little complicated and a lot unorthodox; the new owner of the relegated team is given the first overall pick, followed by the winners of Tiers 3, 2 and 1 respectively. The playoffs will determine the next 12 picks in order of finish with the winner picking 5th overall. The remainder fill in the lower part of the draft. Ruthless, yes, but if you want a high draft pick, make some deals or smart pick ups, max out your GP and finish as high as you possibly can.

Performance based salary cap based on a 3 year decreasing "what have you done for me lately" formula (50% from last season, 35% from the year before and 15% from the year before that)

Rosters: 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D, 1G (19 active roster spots, 82 gp max per) and 16 more spots for you to fill with NHL players or prospects, your choice how you do it. 5 IR spots. 35 player max, keep 32 after playoffs are done. 3 round draft.

Teams Available:

Relegated team - Not a great team but then again, it finished last in Tier 3, so what exactly did you expect! The good news, this team gets the first overall pick in our 3 round draft (Austin Matthews?). Here are the notable players: Marc-Andre Fleury, Rick Nash, Scott Hartnell, Erik Johnson, Mike Ribeiro, Victor Rask and Valtteri Filppula. Did I mention that this team will be exempt relegation for one year? Yeah, you're gonna need a couple of years to nurse this puppy back to health. So who's up to the challenge?

The second team is in better shape, but it finished last in Tier 2 and will compete in Tier 3 next year...without the benefit of being exempt relegation. It has some things old, Zdeno Chara, Jarome Iginla, Ryan Miller and Brad Richards, some things new, Sven Baertschi, Colin White, Eriksson Ek, Emile Poirier and Perlini and some things blue Mitch Marner, Ryan Murray and Jack Johnson. Yeah, not a great team, but it has some interesting pieces going forward.

Our cap for this past year was $1200 and we are lowering it to $1150 to try and redistribute some of the wealth and give some of the better teams a bit of a challenge in managing their cap.

How we come up with our salary numbers for the players? One of our forum members, Chinny has created a fancy formula for valuing players numbers in each category and it comes up with a value from $5-$200.

The relegated team has a new owner. The team above is still available. It's got some decent young building blocks in Mitch Marner, Colin White and maybe Ryan Murray, Baertschi, Perlini, Eriksson Ek and Poirier. It also has some aging veterans that will help keep the team afloat and avoid relegation or turn into trading chips (Chara, Miller, Iginla, Hamhuis, Richards etc) and some reasonably aged vets in Johnson, Sutter, Hansen, Rieder, Boll, Cogliano and Greene among others. It's far from a world beater, but isn't that part of the challenge?

We are still looking for one adventurous owner who is interested in getting in a slightly different pool where you are actually rewarded for doing well and tanking does nothing but get you ultimately punted (last place team in Tier 3 is replaced every year).
