That's definitely a tough one. If I had to choose, I like Andersen a little better but they're both good. I think they'll both become starters one day
Irrespective of their 1a/1b situation in ANA, who is actually the better goalie? Both have similar numbers, does one stand out more than the other?

My preference is Andersen as well but damn it's close there.

Gibson...been a huge fan of his since his OHL days. He's got all the tools to be an elite goalie in the NHL. He's only 22 and will only get better. Still hasn't finished his development.
If I had to choose right now, I would probably take Gibson.. Not sure why, I just feel like he has so much more to learn..
Andersen is a good option aswell, I just seem to like Gibby a little more..

I think Andersen is the better goalie right this moment, but I feel that Gibson hasn't really finished his developmental path, and in a few years, when they are on different teams, we'll see that he is ahead of Andersen.

Gibson for me. One more year of development this year. He'll be their guy next year! No looking back for the Ducks.
Gibson for me. I may be a little biased as he just helped me win the Championship in my one-year league.

I know I said this before and many have voiced it as well but it reminds me so much of the Halak vs Price debate a few years back.
I went with the younger goalie that was always destined to be great and that worked out. I would do the same with Gibson here if I had to choose.
It takes nothing away from Andersen's skill and even potential but I think Gibson will get significantly better whereas Andersen may not as much...

I think the Ducks will go with Gibson regardless if Andersen is better. Gibson is as close to or better than Andersen as he can get, plus he is a lot cheaper.
Andersen in Dallas would be fantastic.
That's the gamble.. Will Andersen be traded, and if so, where?
Buffalo.. No good. Dallas.. Real good. Islanders real good, Calgary not so good.
Id go with Andersen and hope he gets moved to Dallas.
I doubt they would trade Andersen within the same Division
He's an RFA, so he will likely want $5m. I bet he's gone at the draft.
Youre right about the division, so Calgary will be out. I'm betting on Dallas or NYI.
I can't see Dallas or the Islanders dealing for Andersen with their own goalie logjams.

I think their contracts (or lack of one in Andersen's case) makes Gibson the better own if you believe in the ducks. I will be really surprised to see Andersen still there next season but could still be worth an own depending where he lands*
*I reserve the right to change my mind if Gibson poos the bed in the play offs
