Is it just me or does it seem like the teams that picked first should have had the last picks too? The teams with leftovers in the first round are forced to have the real duds....

I know, it's not a perfect set up with having to pick three teams, so it's an unbalanced snake draft. Not sure how you would set it up the way you suggest - any ideas for the future? I had asked about this last year as well, but given yearly surprises (Texas, Houston last year picked in 3rd round, especially Houston picked 5th last) there's no guarantee. Of course, this year, the duds are looking like real duds. Luck of the draw.

I drafted KC with my 3rd pick last yr I think and they were one of the best teams last year.

I do agree that the draft was a tad funky in the fact I picked first and not owning the last pick.

Yeah you picked KC 20th (technically your second pick but you had back-to-back). Also, decent late picks for Minnesota (3rd last, 83 wins) and Arizona (2nd last pick, 79 wins). We'll see if any of the perceived bottom teams surprise us this year.

Being an odd number of teams chosen makes it's unbalanced that way. If we're doing this next year, happy to take suggestions on an alternative draft format.

Draft order. No matter how you do it it not gonna be close to perfect. Team A with 1st, 20, 30
Team J with 10,11, 21.

Certainly that is better than TEam A with 1st, 11th, 21st and team J with 10, 20, 30?

Best place to draft would be somewhere in the middle IMO.

I'm in for trying it next year if there is a consensus. Also becomes moot if there is a different number of people.
