I would make that trade. Kopitar may get more F/O wins, but Stamkos scores more goals and should outpoint Kopitar most seasons.
Hey guys I have been offered Stamkos for my Kopitar.
Currently Kopitar has 272.5 and Stamkos 223.5
I really like Kopitar because of his versatility as well as his face off wins (which is a category that counts).
What do you guys think?

Stamkos had a big night but Kopitar had a rare hat trick... What to do....
I would keep Anze over Stamkos this season he has rebounded beautifully. I assume those numbers in parentheses mean the points accrued per goal, assist, etc. so if you feel need to add goals that is your perrogative but at this point in time I consider Anze the better player this season in a one year. I am also someone who feels Stammer has passed his goal scoring peak and at 26 now I think his game is not going to age well as Anze's will.

Tough one in a one year league, but as Dobber mentioned in his ramblings, late in the game he put Stamkos on the PP with the triplets and he ripped one off... maybe a sign of things to come??
In a one year league, how he is aging doesn't matter, you gotta go with the higher upside player. Stamkos has a higher likelihood of just going off and putting up 35 or 40 in his final 30 than Kopitar does.
To me it's about valuation of players, in your league, regardless of current pt totals... who is most likely to be the most productive player over the last 25 or so games??
I would make the trade.

Not here for arguing and by no means responding to instigate but Stamkos at this point in season should have at least 30-35 goals if he is not in decline. To put in perspective Steven Stamkos has only 2 more goals than Brandon Saad. Stammer, a first round selection only has 2 more goals than someone I drafted in the 11th round, that is completely unacceptable. You say "higher likelihood" which translates to possibility not guarantee whereas Anze is GUARANTEED production. Whatever this person chooses so be it, we all value different things, I go for consistency any day over ceiling hence me drafting Claude Giroux in first round the past 4 years. Kopitar will finish with 70 points and at least +25 and of those points he will have at least 20-25 goals. Stammer will not touch his assists, FOW, ATOI, +/- at season's end. For me Stammer is not wearing Anze's shoes this season but as I previously mentioned we all value certain things so if someone wants to take chance over guarantee than so be it.

All valid points and difference of opinion is what makes this site fantastic - especially that it is done respectfully on an ongoing basis. It's not just Stamkos that is down this year, it's almost every single player on TB is down significantly in production, maybe it's a 'Stamkos effect'?
this season, Kopitar is the safer pick, however if you're close to the 1st or if $$ league making the $$ - I do think Stamkos, in his format can outpoint Kopitar down the stretch.
I would make the trade because I feel in a one year league it could pay off in a big way... sometimes in fantasy hockey you gotta gamble.
As Luigi explained though, you know what you're getting in Kopitar, so keeping is a safer play (based on this season)
IMO - I like the gamble

Just to be clear I did not realize this was a one year league. My bad. I now feel this trade would be a toss up. I think I would keep Kopitar as he is having a great season.
