In any event, that Denver/Pittsburgh game could get out of hand quickly.

My picks:

Chiefs over Patriots

Huge upset here, beating the Pats at home. I expect a lot of Edelman in the slot and Gronk split out wide. Chiefs giving up an average of 13 pts per game, their defense is rock-n-roll on all levels and should be able to control tempo with rush and defense. Brady will have to throw to White a lot too to keep the chains moving. Not going to be an easy win, but if Kelce manages a TD I think they can pull it off.

Panthers over Seattle
I was more confident in this pick prior to news that Lynch will play. Regardless, I love how Newton's progressed as a pocket passer - dissecting defenses pre-snap - he and J-Stew should combine for 100+ yards and you'll see a lot of seam passes to TE Olsen. Hawks' d is very good. They play man outside and zone inside vs the pass so inside is where you want to beat them. Newton may take a shot at Ginn just to keep them hones, but Olsen all-day for the win.

Cardinals over Packers
Very happy to see Rodgers and the Packers get the win over Washington last week, but Cards D is leaps-and-bounds better than Washington. Packers receivers are no threat to Cards secondary at all...James Jones is old and slow despite his limited success this year. Palmer and Crew are my pick for it ALL...they cann beat you anywhere on the field in the passing game, and they are relentless in their attack on both sides of the football.

Steelers over Broncos
This one is very tough to pick but ultimately Manning just looks too uncomfortable almost to the point of if the perfect play isn't there he's afraid to make a move, and the Broncos run game is not the most intimidating. I think the Steelers corner blitzes will result in at least one pick-six in this one which will be enough to make up for Big Ben's gimpy shoulder and A-Brown's absence.

One thing the Seahawks struggle with is tight ends. Olsen looked like vintage Jimmy Graham against them last time out.

Amazing game. Love him or hate him, boy does Rodgers produce magic in those spots more often than not. Incredible.

Agreed regarding the coin toss. Have you seen the slow-mo replay? The coin literally did not flip a single time from the time it left the ref's hand through the time it bounced and came to a rest on the ground. That's hard to do. Maybe if they would just use a regular quarter instead of whatever ceremonial poker chip, ritz cracker size thing they typically insist upon for the playoffs and Super Bowl, it'd be a little easier to carry out that task without controversy.

I'm 4-2, and still bitter over the MIN loss to the Seagulls. Watching Alex Smith overthrow Kelce twice in the endzone is no help either.
