Thing that bugs me about this is he thinks he needs help on his PP. How about post Stamkos up in the Ovi spot like the team used to do, instead of having Stamkos float in the slot. It bugs me even more when they have him in the slot and TJ on the LEFT sides half boards. Stamkos is a RH shot, he wouldn’t be able to get a onetimer off. Run it from the other side if you aren’t having Stamkos on the Ovi spot!
To point out, TBL have like 0 Cap space, so a deal would have to involve Carle or someone to get some cap space.

I would love to see Drouin get traded to Winnipeg and play on a line with Ehlers again. It would be tricky from a cap perspective but something like this may work if Tampa want's to go all in for this year:

Well, if Yzerman wants Drouin to be far away, he can't trade him any further than Vancouver.

The last thing Tampa wants for Drouin is a UFA Dman. It's the Dman that they want the most for Drouin, not another young forward prospect.

This was based on the fact of the horrid Matt Carle contract liquidation need and Steve Y. wanting help now players. McCann would soften the loss of Drouin and Hamhius would give them the D help they are looking for.
I'm sure i could conjure up something else they would would want less than a solid UFA D man.
