Default Seahawks @ Vikings - wildcard matchup discussion

First, the Seahawks are the better team. That said...

    ...I'm picking the upset here.

Crazy, I know. But once in awhile ya have to lay 'em out on the chopping block. Dig?

Why am I picking the upset?

Welp. The St Louis Rams proved that if you are able to pressure Wilson and stop the run w/only your front four lineman, allowing everyone else to drop back, you can effectively limit this dynamic 'Hawks offense. Easier said than done, of course, but the Vikings have such a defense. I know, they lost in their Dec 6th matchup, but the Vikings were dealing with a series of defensive injuries at that time too. Now they are at full health, and just as quick and capable of effectively rushing four as the Rams did.

Lynch will be back. That's the test right there. Is he coming back too soon or fully rested and ready to rush 25+ times? It will be bitter cold too.

The Vikings win IF they can move chains with a combo of AP and Kyle Rudolph who should have heavy volume of targets. AP needs at least 70 yards, Rudolph needs to lead the team in targets and receptions.

Vikings defense baby love me some Harrison Smith. Vikings 17-14.

packers fan here - I too think the vikings will win this one. They are a pretty solid team (not that it takes one to beat the pack right now). I really do think that the Minny D can and will stop russell bustle - they're secondary is impressive and have enough up front. I was impressed with Kendricks last week too.

Bold calls from the two posts above. The only reason I can see the Vikings pulling off the upset is because Seattle got screwed with the scheduling. Kickoff is 10am for this West Coast team. Last time this happened was against the Falcons in the Divisional round a few years back.

Seattle is a far superior team otherwise and should handle the Vikings.

Love the picks, discussion, and totally agree the Seahawks are the better team. But I always like to pick an upset and this one just jumped out at me. Good times.

I'm a big Seattle fan and my buddy is a huge Vikings fan...so this week should be a fun time. Go 'Hawks!

Seahawks should dominate as they will shut AP down and force Bridgewater to throw, ouch!!

Seahawks are the luckiest ****ing team in the league. They have no business moving on.

It funny that you say that, cuz that's exactly what I was thinking.
