Interview re: Turris

For all you Turris-lovers out there...

Had a chance to catch some (but not all due to being in an underground parkade) of an interview between Dave Pratt and Darren Pang on Team 1040 in Vancouver. Pang is about to play some golf with Kyle Turris and his parents, and had these comments about him:

[ul][li]Compares favourably with Steve Yzerman, particularly regarding confidence, demeanor and smarts. (future C on his jersey, anyone?)[/li]

[li]Gretzky is ideal for him because he knows what it takes.[/li]

[li]Look for about 15 minutes of ice time (similar to what Mueller ended up getting last year) or won\'t be on the big club.[/li]

[li]Believes he will line up with Boedker in the future.[/li]

[li]Apparently is pencilled in to run the PP from the half boards.[/li][/ul]
I wish I could have heard more, but the signal died out in the parkade.

thanks for the heads up. Panger is always optimistic but he is right with Turris - the best prospect in hockey.

I got on the Turris bus nice and early and I\'m looking forward to him tearing up this league in a few years. Was watching the Burnaby Express play tonight and it\'s hard to believe that only a coupe years ago he was playing at that level.

Amen. I loved getting on the bus early on this one. How much will a Phoenix home jersey run me??
