I'm losing my SOG catagory pretty much each week. Should I drop Ribeiro and his 17 SOG and put a claim in for Zucker? I have the 2nd waiver position so I'd feel pretty confident in being able to get Zucker. Our league is a H2H, 14 teams. Categories are: G, A, PPP, SHP, +/-, PIM, SOG, HITS, GWG.

Absolutely no way I blow 2nd waiver position for Zucker. I just dropped him in 2 leagues.
In a 14 team league, I might go after him if he passes through waivers. But not before. That 2nd Waiver position is awesome in a 14 team league when someone hits the panic button

I'm not so married to waiver position that I allow it to prevent me from adding guys who I like. Zucker is an upgrade. All depends on if you care about waiver position or not.

I covered Zucker as one of the combatants in my Cage Match column last week. For someone in your situation it probably would be a wise read.

High waiver priority is for clear team upgrades which I think is the case here. I would only hold on to a high priority if the league is notorious for stars being dropped often.
