Hedman. He's lighting it up without the Lightning offense even clicking.
For this year only, who would you rather have? G,A,PPP,+/-,SOG,PIM

Hedman. He's lighting it up without the Lightning offense even clicking.
If you can't suffer through a cold streak you don't have the patience for this game.
I'd take Hedman because he's on a better team and should get more points
10 points in his first 10 games and 2 in his last 11... Hedman is a 45 point d man with the potential for more due to the team he has around him OEL is a 45 point d man by hook or by crook but I can't see him hitting 50+ with the supporting cast he has - a year or two maybe but based on this year I'm with Hedman
This season I'd take oel. Longer term maybe hedman.

I agree Hedman has more point potential this year, mostly from assists, due to the offense around him. It's more of the other categories that I am looking at. In my H2H i am usually strong in assists but would like to bump up my SOG and PPP. These are the 2 areas where OEL might quite significantly out produce Hedman, no? OEL also scores quite a bit more goals. My +/- thus far has also been quite good, so could probably handle OEL's dip there
G=OEL>>Hedman
A=Hedman>>OEL
PPP=OEL>>Hedman (Hedman's not on top PP)
SOG=OEL>>>Hedman(264 sog last year)
+/-=Hedman>OEL
PIM=Hedman>OEL
A rudimentary analysis i know, but i think the cats that OEL out produces Hedman in may be more substantial? Hedman could finish with 10 more pts than OEL, which would all be assists most likely, would it be worth trading in say those 10 assists for more G,PPP (the 2 hardest cats to accumulate in my opinion) and a bucket load more SOG from OEL?
I do expect things to turn around for Hedman as more of a by product of the lightning turning it around. His PP usage is a bit concerning, he hasn't really gotten 1PP time all year, the last couple games barely any at all:

Compared OEL got 10min of PP time last game!

I agree Heds might have the higher ceiling because of the team he's on, but i'm taking OEL based on his durability and that he is franchise's undisputed #1 on the blue line. They are equally talented.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
Give me OEL. Periphs are really good, great durability vs. Hedman, Arizona offense is coming along with Domi and Duc there...
I feel like OEL is just very consistent while Hedman has his insane bursts but then doesn't exist for a while.

I actually like OEL here. Now and long term. He contributes across the board nicely and is more durable than the fragile Swede in my opinion.
