Was there ever any doubt after Trout fell off mid-season?

Thanks for spoiling it for us watching it 'Live' on MLB TV Axeman. I guess I can change the channel now. Why do they keep saying that they're live?

100% deserves it. His clutchness won it for him. They ran his numbers vs Trouts and they were fairly close, but Donaldson had the RBIs/Runs advantage, the clutch stats, the D was just as good, and Donaldson didn’t really ever slump until the last week. He also had that series vs the Angels in LA where he just lit Trout up.

Look at the kicks Nike sent Donaldson after he won

Did the guy just say Cabrera’s Triple Crown year was nothing compared to Trout’s year that year? And how Donaldson was not deserving of this at all? It’s not like it was even close in voting either.

There’s so many Trout homers out there it’s ridiculous sometimes. Yes he’s the best player in baseball come the start of the season, but that’s because he’s been top 2 for the last 4 years. Only Cabrera can come close to him, and that’s an older player, who plays a less important position.

I’d pick Trout over anyone when starting a season, no question about it, but if you were to go back and pick the best players for 2015 season today, Donaldson would be first. Over half of Donaldson’s HRs gave the Jays the lead, or tied it. That alone should have made Donaldson won if all the offensive stats were the same.

Gosh, that was hate vs Donaldson (gives little credit to his season), and just a boner for Trout.

Donaldson absolutely deserves the MVP and would have been my choice if I had a vote (no one asked me though). But to suggest that Trout supporters in this discussion are completely wrong is, well, wrong.

Donaldson held the advantage in runs scored and RBI's but I think that's more a testament of the offense and team he played for. Trout held the advantage in Average, OPS and Slugging. Can't score if someone doesn't get you there and can't cash in if no one is on base. I think offensively, you can't fault someone for thinking Trout was the better of the two. Because I certainly do. Defensively, I would give the edge to Trout because he was one of the best in a much more difficult position to play.

For me JD is the MVP because (as mentioned in a previous post) of the timing and importance of his hits. But if Trout had won, I completely understand why. And would be more than OK with it.
