Default Mason vs Holtby - Start one or both?

I have both Holt and Mason. Seems obvious to start Holtby and sit Mason.
Goalie stats are W L GAA Sv% SO

In my matchup, I'm winning by a decent margin in GAA / SV%, losing in shutouts
    Wins and losses are tied.

I know it seems obvious, but given that Mason needs to cement his place as the starter I have a gut feeling he has a big start tonight

So what say you, am I overthinking this? What should I do?

Well if you play both I guess Wins and losses will stay tied and I doubt Mason will shutout the Caps.

And it's not because he needs to be good that he actually will be ... I just took a look at his stat, he's been terrible this year. I would sit him.

Brooks Orpik may be out tonight, so slight downgrade possible for WAS D.
Decision to start/sit them both may be based on your specific stats in your match-up vs. opponent.

With Losses counted I think you have to pick one, so I'm going with the obvious answer here in Holtby.

On a side note, the betting trends are interesting though with some reverse line movement going on. That combined with Philly's ability to beat good teams but lose to poor or average teams (especially at home) gives me a funny feeling that the Flyers will pull this one out tonight. Sorry, I know that doesn't help you at all but just thinking out loud.

This is what I think as well. How many skater categories and how are you doing in your matchup overall? Of course Holtby is the better goalie and Washington is the better team. But I always hesitate having to guess on which team will win on a given night. By playing both, you should at least keep the numbers steady, unless it's a high scoring game on both sides. You pick the wrong one, and suddenly you've given your opponent an advantage everywhere.

Depending on where you stand with your skaters, you might want to take the risk and pick one or guarantee yourself a win and play both.

Caps good, Flyers bad. Holtby stud, Mason not. Ah, still undecided?

EDIT: that is, if you must choose one over the other but I see there are other options too as already stated in the thread
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Agree with Peng - decision is based on how your stats compare with your opponent of the week. Also there is Saturday to think about.

Yes, outcome cannot be predicted but there is a reason that I usually play my studs in such scenarios, as statistically, the better goalie and team wins more often than not.

I'm wrecking him in G/A/P/PIM. The +/-, PPP, SOG are all within one.
    Goalies numbers are my GAA = 2.04, sv% - .938. Him GAA - 2.80, Sv% - 0.899. He has 1 SO, I have none.
