Weekly lock, depth means nothing. It’ll have to be Benn+(C+ goalie) for Rask+(A player).

Rask+Tarasenko=Bernier+Benn. To me, depth means jack besides injury replacement players.

Tough to acquire a star in a weekly lock league.

Agreed. You're asking for one of the top players in the league, so be prepared to pay for it.

IF...the other manager is actually interested in dealing him. Does he have a pressing need that will make him consider dealing Benn?

I too am curious. Why would the other person consider giving up the highest scorer in NHL for the past season and the first 10 games of this season? The hip surgeries have not slowed him even a bit.

Secondly, even if he wanted to, why would he give up for anything less than Sid, Seguin, Ovi, Price, Tavares (maybe Karlsson+) and possibly McDavid?

I agree with 2014olympicgold and horrorfan - if you want Benn, you may need to be prepared to open / empty your fantasy bank locker.

Rask + Tank for Bernier + Benn does appear intriguing but personally, I would not do it if I owned Benn and this was offered to me.

I just wrote 5 minutes ago in another thread that this is the exact wrong time to try and acquire Benn, his value is unbelievably high right now.

In your league, with weekly starts, 1 goalie and points for W/SO Rask is going to have limited value. In my mind any deal where you acquire Benn starts with you giving up Malkin.

If you want to get Benn, you'd have to give up a ton. He's insanely hot right now and it would take a top guy to get him
