What are people's thoughts on this UFA that Detroit signed this summer? Is there any chance that he becomes an NHL regular in the next few years? He's been added to the free agent list in my deep 30 team dynasty league with 25 player pro rosters + farm rosters. He can likely be acquired for a cost that would be the equivalent of 1/2 of a 5th round pick in our annual 5 round entry draft.

He could be something but with Sproul, Ouellet and Marchenko (maybe Jensen too) in the AHL and ahead of him on the depth chart his chance likely won't come for a while. Might not be worth the wait.

I think he's too far down the depth chart in Detroit to make an impact

Alright time to re-evaluate this, because he managed to outproduce all of the other defensemen in Grand Rapids in points and managed to be a +40 on a team where the second place in +/- was +18. 5th on the entire team in points, forwards included. I'm no expert but you have to think he's moved way up the depth chart at this point.

Anyone got anything on this guy after this season? His numbers looked great for the regular season, and in the playoffs he's behind only Ryan Sproul in points from defensemen.
