Tell me about Stephon Williams

So I drafted Williams recently after reading some good things about him but I've had trouble finding a whole lot of info on him anywhere. I've noticed that he's still suiting up for the Isles even at the end of the preseason and was wondering about the thoughts and opinions of the readers here who may have had some good opportunities to watch him and assess his potential.

Well the Isles were fine with losing Anders Nilsson and Kevin Poulin, mostly due to Williams' development. He had two elite seasons at the NCAA level, with a horrible year sandwiched in between. His numbers in the two good years were equal to or better than goalies like Hellebuyck or Jon Gillies.

I drafted him a couple years ago late, so I'm definitely interested in how he develops. He should be the starter in Bridgeport this season, and being a little older he's a lot closer to NHL time than most drafted goalies.

I should have used the word "comparable" I guess. I would say any season with a 1.65 GAA gets into the "comparable" range.

The point is, he's a good prospect who was in the same neighborhood as two of the best goalie prospects in the league. But congratulations on proving how wrong my post was, you knew what I meant.
