Should I move Malkin ?
Another G/M in our keep 6 has interest in my Malkin.
His top players are Crosby, P.Kane, Backstrom, Hall, Hornqvist, Hedman, Vatanen, Lundqvist, Rask
What would be a good return or should I just keep Malkin ?

Welcome to the boards. Your scoring format would be really helpful here. If it's a straight points (and goals aren't bonused) a player like Backstrom is very valuable. And since his name carries less street cred than Malkin, you might be able to make a whopper of a deal... like Malkin, Martinez and pick for Backstrom and Hedman type of thing.

Agree with Fungchen. Malkin is still very valuable in any league, but if you can swing a two for one deal where Backstrom is one of the two then I would be inclined to do it. It might seem like you are giving up quality for quantity, but Backstrom is pretty equal to Malkin in my mind.Originally Posted by fungchen3

I took advantage of the Malkin name earlier this summer.. Dealt him for Pavelski, Pietrangelo, #4 in this year's draft (D. Strome) plus 3 more 1sts. He's still a world class player but whenever you can squeeze extra value out of a depreciating asset, you do it.
Go big and make it sound like there's a bidding war - always fun to play the used car salesman

Seems to me Malkin's trade value has declined to below his actual value. I'd hold tight until a domination run, if you move him at all.
