Matheson for me, in fantasy hockey or real life. In real life the difference is even bigger.
Hi everyone,
I had a discussion with a friend and we had a discussion on who's the best between Point and Matheson. Very hard to tell because it's one foward and one dman.
Not necessarily in a fantasy way, who's the best? Who's get the bigger impact?
I land to Matheson, but I wanted others opinions.
Thank you!
Matheson for me, in fantasy hockey or real life. In real life the difference is even bigger.
Comparing forwards to dmen isn't easy. If you are asking me to put one on my hockey team, real or fantasy, than I would probably go with Matheson. I think Matheson has a better chance of cracking the Panthers lineup than Point does in TB. I believe Matheson's superior size (6'1" vs. 5'9") makes him the more "capable" NHLer. I also think Matheson's speed and offensive ability from the blueline is underrated, and that while Point will be a decent spark plug for his team, he will never be a top point producer.
Bottleneckers (12/16 in 2022)
16 team, points only. G: 2-W, 4-SO.
Top 9F, 4D & 1G . Keep 15, Max 23
F: J. Robertson, J. Hughes, Tavares, Lafreniere, Cozens, Newhook, Teravainen, Domi, R. Strome, Laine, Rossi, Raymond, Holtz, Perfetti
D: Bouchard, McAvoy, Morrissey, Heiskanen
G: Vasilevskiy
Rigth now Matheson, but at the end of the season, I would not be surprised if the answer is Point.
Points only keeper league
7 teams
28 keepers
Weekly line up: 12 F / 6 D / 2 G
Goalie stats: W=2 / SO=2
I'll go Matheson but it's such a crap shoot right now.

Matheson to me will be more of an impact to his team overall. I read today on Rotoworld they are comparing his upside to be a future Ducan Keith...that's a pretty bold statement but I think speaks volumes about his overall game
