Where is Mark Visentin? Maybe it is time for him to be a full time backup. I understand that he hasn't been the most successful goalie in the minors, but Arizona wouldn't expect him to carry the bulk of the load so long as Smith is under contract which is still area more years.

Can Lindback salvage his career like Dubnyk did? (without the coach of course) His numbers in Buffalo were decent.

Anything is possible for Lindback but I'd call his situations in Buffalo and in Nashville (when he was good) low-pressure. Kind of like now in Arizona. I just don't believe in him when the spotlight is on him and expectations rise.

I think letting Greiss go a couple of years ago hurt them (I know he wanted a starting gig or at least be able to play for a winning team). At this point in time, he would most likely have the crease...

Theres no way a cash strapped team can ice a roster with two goalies making that much
Maybe there's hope for Lindback? I remember suggesting over on HFBoards that Dubnyk was a good bounceback candidate and got laughed at. Thats one of those threads you wanna dig up. I have lower expectations for Lindback than Dubnyk but you never know
