    Default Tough goalie decision...

Trying to decide whether to keep a 2nd goalie in my keep 6 or not. I already have Quick and expect decent but not amazing goalies to be available (Miller, Bernier, Smith, Elliot, plus all the guys I'll drop)

    What should I do?

Well.. there's quite a drop-off to your #6 keeper (shown as Lehtonen for now).
Obv - Kari's value has plummeted with Niemi signing.
There's no great player in the other four you show: Ryan, E.Staal, Bernier, Anderson

Anderson is probably the best of the group...
    I prefer Luongo - if it's only a 4th/5th round pick.

Being a snake draft, you've got a long way to your 2nd/3rd round pick and goalies could dry up after you take McDavid.
It can be a bit dangerous and goalies in ROTO can be important.

So, either keep Anderson or trade for Luongo.

    May ranks:

Trade for Luongo if it only costs you a 6th or 7th

Thanks, yeah I should remove Lehtonen from my sig. I'm not keeping him after the Niemi signing

Also should note that while it is a snake draft the 1st overall pick was acquired in a trade. My 2nd round pick is in tact at 14th overall (4th pick of the 2nd round)

Depending on what Lou costs that would be the route I'd take. Lou is a steady goalie and should be fine for a few more years. If its a mid to late rounder I'd make that deal.

If it costs an early pick I'd keep Anderson. I'd be tempted to keep Ryan, but I think you're golie options will be real slim with your 2nd pick, better to be safe and keep a goalie there.

I would probably take my chances in the draft, but depending how much Lou costs, he could be your 6th.

What could you land with that mid-round pick?

I would look at it like so:
    Anderson + mid-round pick player
    vs
    Luongo

Unless that pick = a player that is a 40pt player AT BEST, I would favour the Anderson side since Lou is not that much better IMO.

I would also keep Landeskog in this format and drop Anderson (or Luongo) at the end of the year in favour of McDavid.

Yeah, I agree. My sig was a little out of date as I planned on keeping Lehtonen over Landeskog...until the Niemi signing threw a wrench in everything

I voted Anderson. Has this luongo trade been offered to you or are you guessing?

I'd keep a second goalie, make it Anderson and use that 14th overall to start drafting strong skaters.

If you had 2 of Rinne, Holtby, Price, Lundqvist, Bishop, Andersen & Rask I could see keeping 2. Your skater keepers are much better than the your 2nd keeper option in net. Just keep Quick.

I'm with Andy. The guy has shown he can be a great option and with the crease in Ottawa less crowded, I don't see him getting challenged for starts by Hammond. This way you don't ave to move any picks.

If you decide against it, I'd suggest hanging on to Eric Staal.
