Default Byron Buxton and Francisco Lindor the latest call ups

Buxton’s fantasy stock may never reach this height again in 2015. So while he is currently moonwalking on water in the virtual game, there is no better time to parlay his topical buzz into a known commodity before his value sinks … just know his 2014 season was limited to 31 games, and he has only 263 minor league games on his resume. Only 60 of those games were above Class A, too.
Lindor has an underwhelming .724 OPS over 95 Class AAA games, and he has an alarmingly unsuccessful 44% stolen base success rate this year. Additionally, given his promotion could be tied more to Cleveland’s hole at shortstop than Lindor’s readiness at the plate, his fantasy stock is best left to deep mixed leagues.

Buxton is one of the best prospects in the last few years. I would compare him to a Carl Crawford when Carl Crawford was good but with an arm.

Lindor is a decent shortstop prospect but likely slides in somewhere around Andrus and Alcides Escobar when he gets going. He's okay but nothing special.

The Indians had a few opportunities last season and this season to promote Lindor, but they waited. Now he gets his opportunity with Nick Swisher going to the DL.

The way I see it, Lindor will be an everyday player because of his defense. He's not a power bat, but the fact that he'll get regular at-bats and can steal a little with decent average should give him some fantasy value.

Lindor is no Carlos Correa, though.

Since 2013 I think Buxton has been the unanimous number 1 prospect IN baseball. He had an injury I think in 2013 (or 2012) that some people kinda questioned, but clearly he is the real deal. I had Gallo and Correa but missed this train. This one will hurt for a while I bet.

Yes -- Cain is locked into the three-hole on a good team. Although, KC is currently struggling.
