I'd go with Zacha... He was inconsistent early in the year but looked great towards the end. The tools are all there, with some more development he still has the ability to be the 3rd best forward from this draft imo. Provorov deserves consideration and might be the safer choice, but I'd prefer the homerun swing.

Zacha has highest upside, that'd be my choice.

I agree that Zacha is the home run swing... but considering you're getting the top 6 guys anyways, and the fact that your team is so ridiculously loaded with young talent, I'd take the guy who you feel is most likely to get to the NHL the quickest.

Reason being I'd be looking to deal him (and some other kids) to try and accelerate your rebuild, dealing a few of them for some more proven guys (especially a #1 G).

Simply due to your situation, I'd steer clear of longer-term, higher-risk picks like Zacha and take the surest bets you can find.

To do this though, I really do think you have to wait until actual NHL entry draft day to see which players go where. After that, Crouse, Provorov, Meier, Konecny would be the guys I'd look at most closely at 7.

This and I would add that I tend to favor the forward.

Zacha would be my choice; dude just had a bad yr at the wrong time. Beginning of the yr he was injured and had a suspension so he was off to a slow start and had to play catch-up with everyone. D-men spring up out of nowhere to have success in the NHL a lot. Weber was like a 3rd round pick, Klingberg was a very late pick if I do remember correctly. Take Hanifin because it’s Hanifin, but take forwards over D-men in fantasy 99/100 times.

Yep , I'm pretty set on:

    McDavid
    Eichel
    Hanifin
    Marner
    Barzal
    Strome
    Zacha

Where the boys end up can have me second guess myself , we'll see . Never been fond of NewJersey players although Shero may change that ...
