Niemi vs. Montoya

In a close matchup for the championship. Two start minimum (one start per night) and need one more start - got lucky with Niemi's last start. I was hoping Luongo was going to start against NJ but looks like Montoya is finishing up the season.

My stats: 1/1.00/26/.963 - between Niemi and Montoya
My opp: 1/1.65/87/.946 - he can play either Crawford or Ward

I won't win the saves category but I have to hope I'm below his stats.

Niemi (vs. LA) or Montoya (vs. NJ)? I'm leaning towards Montoya but he just came off of injury so I don't know.

Montoya definitely has the more favorable matchup, as the Devils can't score to save their lives. But as you said, he may be a little rusty.

But my gut tells me that in what could be his last game as a Shark, Niemi will want to go out with a bang. For a matchup involving two surprising non-playoff teams, this could be an interesting game to watch. Go with the Shark.
