    Default Rookie Advice

I'm in a deep 10-team league (40 player rosters), and we have to start a rookie. I've got Sano and Correa in the minors, so I was forced to draft Kang and Michael Taylor to start the year with a rostered rookie (not ideal). There's another guy in my league with no rookie so he's kinda desperate. Is it a no-brainer to trade one of Kang or Taylor for Tillman, Cashner or maybe Hutchison? I think my pitching is fine, but he's looking to deal pitching for a rookie, and we only get 5 waiver pickups each all year.
    Redraft 12-team Roto with 1 waiver/day ($5), start 3 at each F position, 5 D, 1 rookie, 2 Goalies, 5 Reserves
Player Cats = G,A,Pts,PIMs,+/- (PIMs worth 50%, and +/- worth 25% compared to the other player cats)
Goalie Cats (worth half what player cats are) = W,GAA,S%,SO (SO worth 25% of what player cats are)
    C: Tavares,Thomas,Johnston,Lindholm(Res),Zacha(Res)
    LW: Robertson,Fiala,Svechnikov,Lafreniere(Res)
    RW: Nylander,Necas,Reinhart
    Rook: Knies,Carlsson(Res)
    D: Josi,Bouchard,Weegar,Forsling,Hanifin,Durzi(Res)
    G:Hellebuyck,Demko

    You rang?

Yup, to me it is a no-brainer to trade Kang for any and all of the above.

Taylor could actually be decent but I expect little to nothing from Kang this year.

I absolutely agree. Kang would probably get sent down to the minors if he didn't have the clause in his contract that he has to consent to any demotions. I'd take a shot on trading him for the pitching.

I would trade Kang for Hutchison in a second.

I'd trade Taylor. Once Span comes back, he's got no spot. Kang will get every chance to stick. By mid-season he will be the starter. Mercer is there for his glove. Riskier choice, but with him being a SS, higher reward.
