    Default Halak or Holtby

For the next three year what goalie would you pick in a pool where wins are 2 points and shutouts are 2, Halak or Holtby?
    12 team points only keeper (G = 1, A = 1, W = 2, SO = 2)
Dress 6 forwards, 4 defensemen, 2 goalies, weekly starts
    Roster limit - 20 plus 4 prospects

That's tough. I'd lean toward Holtby due to injury risk (as I think they will both be top 5-7 goalies).... but the more I think about it the more unsure I am because NYI will be a solid team for years to come. Toss up... :/

I'm a Holtby owner in one of my leagues but I'll go with Halak. Longer track record and since wins are essentially the key stat here...NYI are outperforming WAS at the moment. This could go either way to be honest, so if you have a hunch then go with that.

    Much of a muchness...

I think for the next 2 years I'd lean Holtby only because I'm a big believer in Korn and his goalie mentoring, but Holts does become RFA after that and could command a bit of money if he is poached... Halak has a bit more stability as he's signed for a while longer and the Isles D look like they're really stabilizing with the additions of Boychuk and Leddy and Hamonic/De Haan maturing...

Both are on good teams and should be fine moving forward...

If you're in a league that doesn't count save percentage then Halak is one of the best.

I think I'd edge Holtby here, more so because Halak has a tendency to miss games.

What the hell does that mean! lol

Holtby by a fair margin and I own both in various pools.
