Didn't Dubnyk pull this act a few years ago and everyone jumped on that bandwagon before it crashed and burned?

His numbers in Edmonton were normally solid, but the team in front of him wasn't this strong, so no, he didn't really pull this act a few years ago.

God damn as a kuemper owner and someone who missed out on the dubnyk train this saddens me. I can't tell if dubnyk is playing this well or Minny is playing that much better than before the trade.

    I think it's a bit of both.

Could be a case of a team playing tight to protect a weakness in goal and now feel comfortable enough to push on offense again.

    10 team H2H !Y League (4 keepers - at least 1 must be a D-man OR Goalie)
    Start - 2C, 2L, 2R, 1U, 3D, 2G, 6Bench, 2IR, 2IR+ (Daily) (5 moves per week)
    Skaters - G, A, +/-, PPP,
    PIM, HITS, BS, GWG, SOG
Goalies - Wins, Saves, S%, GAA (Min. 4 starts)
    Championships 2007, 2009, 2012, 2016, 2017,
    2019*, 2023

    C-McDavid, Trocheck, Suzuki
    L-B.Tkachuk(C/L), Forsberg,
    Konecny(L/R)
    R-Hyman(L/R), Svechnikov(L/R), P. Kane

For all of you that have Dubnyk and Kuemper, would you consider dropping Kuemper in a few weeks if he isn't getting the starts?

I'd drop him in a one year, not a keeper.

Hate to jinx it, but looks like another W in the bag for Doobie courtesy of Miller's 2nd period collapse.

That's 6 in a ROW and 8 wins in his last 10, with 4 shutouts for good measure. This guy's hot streak is reminding me of Brian Elliott's insane run late last year (which I also rode to a championship)... hopefully a sign of things to come!

Taking it to OT with only on goal against playing your second night in a row. Still quite impressive. And I think blayze was referring to jinxing the outcome of the previous game.

Honestly, any goalie that plays the tail end of a B2B (even if he didn't start the night before) is in trouble - his team's usually pretty damn tired. Put in the fact that Doobie actually started both games and now you're thinking "Man, how torched is he going to get?"

A tight 1-2 loss that came in OT off a 1-on-0 breakaway has nothing to do with Doobie being bad. I thought his positioning on the goal was pretty damn good too, top left shot skating in from the right side when you're that close to the net isn't easy. Defenceman played it pretty good too, blocking the centering pass. Just an unbelievable play from Buff.

Anyways, IMO this game even though it was a loss only strengthened my belief in Doobie. Not only was coaching/management so confidant in him (or not confidant in Kuemper, either way) that he got both starts on a B2B (note that today's start was an important one...against the Jets...same conference, they currently holds 1st wild card spot), but he played exceptionally well, especially in the first period when shots were 15-3 in favor of WPG and he blocked all of them.

Great observations. And he almost got the win too, with Nino hitting a post with a couple of minutes to play in the 3rd.

I am a believer in Dubnyk now.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
