Straight up Voracek for Benn

In a points only league (one year), opinions on this trade?

Tough one. I didn't think Voracek would be as good as he is or Benn as bad as he is (talking about production so far). I think it'll be pretty even the rest of the way this season, though. I think both hover around PPG.

I think I'd do it. Essentially lateral, but I'll take the proven name.

RW aren’t as hard to find as a LW, so I think I’d do the deal to BRING IN Benn. Essentially trades are from the point you get the player and on. So if someone has 30pts in 20 games but finishes at 82 points in 82 games, he only got 52 pts in the final 62 games (0.84PPG). But if you get someone whos 15pts in 20 games, but finishes at 82 points in 82 games, he got 67pts in 62 games (1.01ppg). So if you do this trade you get Voraceks early surge and (hopefully) Benn’s late surge.

30(Voracek) + 67 (Benn) = 97 points from guys who finish at 82points.

I agree with this Philosophy its not a perfect science but its an educated guess

If it's for "full year points", I'd go with Voracek... to big a lead.
If it's for "points forward, this year", I'd go with Benn.
