    Default Acquiring Giordano

Hey all. Giordano has been made available in my league in sig. I'd like to nab him, but not sure what kind of offer to make. He doesn't want a long term prospect kind of deal though

    Thanks in advance

At his current unsustainable production rate and at his cap hit I wonder if such a deal is even possible without hurting your own team in the long run.

Worst possible time to be buying, there's no way he maintains this pace. Let someone else overpay for him.

Agree with mcgoo, this is not the time to try to acquire Giordano....way to high of a price to be paid at the moment and Calgary as a whole due for a regression.

That being said, if the guy has made the effort to let others know hes available, he must be expecting Giordanos production to slow a lot. They might even be a bit skeptical of the player. You might be able to get Gio for less than he's worth and still convince the current Gio owner that he's "sold high". Despite his productivity, Gio isn't necessarily considered a "big name" guy along the likes of the Pietrangelos and Keiths of the world.

don't buy high. As a Flames fan, I love it and wish/hope it continues, but it probably won't. He can still win a Norris imo and put up 50-60pts but this pace is ridiculous.

Wouldn't look to trade for Giordano now. His value is inflated and you'll have to pay too much to acquire him.

Flames' possession numbers are terrible (so they've been on the good end of PDO) and they've had a pretty easy schedule so far.
Their production, and therefore Giordano's, will slow down.

I agree that now is the wrong time to acquire Giordano. He made him available as he's obviously looking to sell high.

he has 68 pts in his last 83 games played... I agree that he is not a ''big sexy name'' but he still has 68 pts in 83 games !!!!!!!!

no D has been even close to that except Erik Karlsson
He had 0,73 ppg last year and he is still doing this this season

While I agree he is 31 years old, that he has never done even close to that... He could certainly help you win a championship.

go ask what it takes....you neven know.
