I'd maybe consider what teams the players are playing against to help in my decision.
League and team details are in my signature.
Usually this isn't a hard decision for me. Play the guy with more games this week as long as they are somewhat close in production. But this one is different.
This week I have Giroux, Voracek, Streit and Kronwall with only two games.
I have Tanguay, Kuznetsov, and Russell on the bench with three games, and I was thinking about picking up Vermette who has four this week.
Here's how I do the math:
Giroux @1.15ppg*2gm= 2.3
Voracek @1.46ppg*2gm= 2.92
Streit @0.77ppg*2gm= 1.54
Kronwall @0.71ppg*2gm= 1.42
Tanguay @0.53ppg*3gm= 1.59
Kuznetsov @0.5ppg*3gm= 1.50
Russell @0.44ppg*3gm= 1.32
Vermette @0.77ppg*4gm= 3.08
Johansson @0.77ppg*3gm= 2.31
If my logic and math is sound I should consider Vermette and Johansson over one of the Flyer players right?
Or am I overthinking this and I should just start my studs and forget about the rest?

If a hot streaking player has lots of games this week...then perhaps..But I play my best players and only bench them if they have 1 game..Giroux and Voracek are hot...play them...and since it seems d men don't have any xtra stats or benefit..start two forwards with 3 games

Your Philly forwards can score more in one game than those other guys could score in 3. Go with your studs!
