Yeah Gibson should get more starts than Svedberg, and Boston's defense leaves much to be desired at this point in the season. Emery would also be a solid add, looks like he is the Flyers #1 for now.
Ignore team in sig this is for a one-year 12-team weekly H2H league tracking W/L/SO/SV/SV%/GAA. Two roster spots for goalies with a minimum 3 starts/week for L/SV%/GAA, no max GP. This is my first time in a H2H league so any advice would be appreciated!
My main tenders are Lundqvist and Holtby. Currently I have Svedberg as my 3rd goalie for spot starts. I have only used my 3rd goalie once so far this season. I grabbed Svedberg because I figured he would give me solid stats whenever I had a chance to use him. I just realized that Gibson is on the WW so I'm wondering if he is a better option. Alternatively I could cut one of my skaters (looking at you Dustin Brown) and keep both. For this type of league, how many goalies would you want to own?
Here are my options:
Svedberg
Gibson
Raanta
Emery
Gustavsson
Johnson
Edit: In case it matters (for optimal #goalies question) this league rosters 17 skaters + 2 goalies with 5 bench spots (max 4 goalies/team).

Any other thoughts? Is the consensus that Gibson would give me more starts AND better stats?
Is two starters and a backup a good complement of tenders for a league like this?

It's hard to tell when picking backup goaltenders but I think Gibson is probably your best bet in this scenario.
I see Gibson starting about 25-30 games this season and that's if Andersen stays healthy and continues to play well and keep the #1 job. That's more starts than Svedberg will get for sure and there's always the possibility for more.
For most NHL backups it's basically injuries that dictate their value. Except for Emery and Gibson. I definitely like the idea of owning Gibson who plays for an elite team.

Great, thanks. I picked up Gibson. I think I will hold onto Svedberg at least until after he faces Buffalo tonight
