Default Slim pickings for cheap help - rep

Pts only and I need to fill a spot in my dynasty salary cap league.
Who do you like this year and beyond?

    Stone
    Gormley
    C.Murphy
    Connauton
    Martinez
    Irwin
    Brennan
    Severson
    Gostibehere
    Clendening

All but Martinez, Irwin, & Brennan would be farm-eligible too.

    Thanks

Clendening will be a nice player to own in cap leagues next year.
CHI will promote him and he'll probably play 3rd D-pair and PP2 because the Hawks need to shed some salary with those Kane/Toews massive extensions kicking in.

Just my opinion but I would take a flyer on Irwin. He could very well end up running the San Jose powerplay.

**also, in your sig - what does "STP" mean

    Special teams points.
Not relevant to the league I'm inquiring about though.

    Tougher than your forward list....hmm...

    Clendening
    Severson
    Gostibehere
    Gormley
    Irwin
    Stone

I don't like taking the four guys most likely to play in the AHL this year at the top, but they're simply the best players on the list. Gormley could play in Phoenix this year, but he won't get great minutes. Severson might see some time later in the year, same with Clendening. But I doubt any of them play a full 82 games this season. Next year, though....very likely.

Yes, I might stash clendening or gostibehere on the farm then ride the waiver wire with brennan/stone/etc

    Any love for Connor Murphy?
He could play full time this year.

Murphy is right there with Stone.....those guys will be competing for the same ice time this season. Injuries are a huge problem with Murphy though, last year was his first healthy season in like the last four.

Gonchar out with a broken foot and Connauton is on a one way deal - I grabbed him off the wire, he may be worth a gamble

This year, I like Martinez, Stone, then maybe Irwin.
