Default Could use some advice on cheap D-men... (cap hit)

    Hey guys,

I'm making a list of cheap D-men for my draft this week. I'm in a salary cap (cap hit) roto league and interesting D-men tend to disappear VERY quickly (a lot of them are kept already). I kept (expensive) elite forwards and I plan / have to draft cheap d-men early and then draft 50+pts forwards since a lot of these players will still be available in later rounds.

    League: 12 forwards (any position), 6 d-men, 2 goalies. Keep 6.

Cats: points only for forwards ; points and +/- for D-men ; wins for goalies (+1 for s/o).

For example, D. Keith had 61 pts last season, as well as a differential of +22, for a total of 83 points pool-wise!

My question: with points and +/- combined, who do you think should get 30 points next year?

    A. Martinez
    M. Rielly
    M. Del Zotto
    N. Holden
    B. Lovejoy
    R. Gudas
    C. Tanev
    M. Irwin
    J. Benn
    T.J. Brodie
    R. Murphy (Carolina)
    C. Murphy (Arizona)
    E. Gelinas
    D. Savard
    J. Brodin
    M. Stone
    N. Beaulieu
    J. Merrill

I could go on but I'm aware some of them are already a ''no go''... .

Feel free to add any, but most are already kept (Lindholm, Muzzin, Hamilton, R. Murray, Barrie, Maatta, Vatanen...)

    Cheers.

Usually offensive def have questionable +/- so I don't track it cause it's a BS cat.

Points and +/- combined, these players should all get to 30 pool points.

Agree with Laendararian here but really love Rad64's Brennan sleeper. If he's avail late... I'd certainly take a chance on him.

Honestly, I think most of these guys can hit 30 points when you combine points and +/-. Plus/minus is so hard to predict, you've gotta just focus on their points and hope for the best when it comes to +/-. Rielly and Brodie are my favorites on the list. Martinez, Gelinas, and Irwin could be right around 30. Savard, Holden, Gudas, Brodin, Stone, and Merrill are all possibilities.

Most of these players project for somewhere in the 20's points-wise. So it depends on their +/-....a decent plus can get them to 30, or a minus can destroy their value.
