The way these negotiations broke makes this a very favourable contract for cap leaguers. One-way deal at a minimal salary for two years. That's really nice. Huge multi-cat potential.

Especially if by some small miracle he ends up spending a lot of time on the LW of the top line! His Yahoo O-Rank is 351 so he buried way down there in the rankings and could make a good multi-cat sleeper this year.

I don't see him outplaying Marron on one of the top 2 lines. Nonetheless, he is a great depth player and can really help the Ducks this year.

I sincerely doubt that's coming. Smith-Pelly is a righty shot and a natural RW. He'll find a home elsewhere in the lineup. Probably just a bottom-sixer but on this team, with the way they roll their lines, that could be productive.

I know it is very wishful thinking ... but he did spend the majority of his time on that line in the play-offs last season so it isn't completely impossible.
