Those are the 10 that stand out to me.
Points only pool - H2H - Dress 11/week - 2 at every forward position(RW, LW, C), 4 D, 1G
Goalie Points = 2/win, 1/overtime loss, 3 more/shutout (They typically make up most of the top 10 point getters every year in our league)
24 teams but 2 of every player (2 Crosbys, 2 Rasks, etc.) so treat it like a 12 team.
PROTECT 11 (max. roster size is 25)
LW - Benn, Pacioretty, Henrique, Abdelkader, Pulkkinen
C - Tavares, Backstrom, Johansen
RW - Giroux, Wheeler, Donskoi, Pomminville, Silvferberg
D - Josi, Karlsson, Burns, Seabrook, Reilly, Gardiner,
G - Jones, Rinne, Miller
No go on Schwartz? What are your reasons? Just the other guys have higher upside? I figured Schwartz being a LW would also have appeal as a keeper.

Yup, I think you will get this list more oft than not. It all comes down to Schwartz vs Stastny. Your strength lies both at C and LW so it's more of a toss up or who you prefer over the other. I would personally take Schwartz since he could turn into your #2 or #3 LW behind Pavelski/Kane while Stastny would likely be your #4 behind Kuz.

I've bolded 8 skaters, 1 goalie. Those will be consensus picks, by all, likely.
Stastny is the last of that group, but in for FOW.
Kuz vs. Schwartz is indeed an interesting one.
I assume you have some positional roster allocation if you are talking about "LW" value?
What's positions that you start? roster?

I was back and forth of Schwartz as your last keeper. Now that I see you need to dress positionally I would say you keep either Stastny or Schwartz to back up Kuz or Drouin. Or consider making a 2 for 1 trade for a solid dman. Horton could have some value as well.
C - Stam, Tavar, Kuz, (Stastny)
LW - Pavel, Kane, Drouin, (Schwartz)
RW - Buff, Tara

Unfortunately can't make trades before the season starts, so stuck with these choosing nine of these guys!

I think I'd go with Jaden Schwartz.
I like how he'd fit into your line-up as a LW.
He's got some NHL experience under his belt - and you get to potentially have a full STL line... and I'm a big fan of putting all your eggs in one bucket in fantasy hockey.
Also, I think that Kuznetsov may even be redraftable.
It depends on whether your league mates are as hip to his "potential value" as we are.
Anyways, Schwartz & Stastny for me.
Kuz is out.
I think Kuz is a lock personally. His positional eligibility at C sucks bigtime but hes such a homerun pick. Theoretically he might get wing eligibility at some point this season too. Schwartz gives you better balance and is probably safer but I like to gamble. Totally agree with the other 9 though.
Steven Stamkos
John Tavares
Joe Pavelski
Evander Kane
Jonathan Drouin
Evgeny Kuznetsov
Dustin Byfuglien
Jaden Schwartz
Vladimir Tarasenko
Cory Schneider
These would be my picks. Especially with positional requirements. Although like others have said, you could make a case for Stastny over Schwartz.
