That's so weird ... I've been trying to type Loui's name into my keeper list and it keeps coming out "Getzlaf" or "Weber."

This damn keyboard's all messed up.

You must have been using the keyboard for things that DON'T come at a discount!

Horny for me for sure! Lots to be excited about there (and thats all I'll say for fear of this comment slipping down the hill and into the gutter)

Remember how many people got excited for Jokinen when he went to Pittsburgh? I'd still take the risk with Hornqvist but just a caution.

Jokinen and Hornqvist are not exactly comparables - Hornqvist is going to easily have 300+ SOG if healthy, which is going to translate to 25+ goals and probably 40 assists on rebounds, etc. I think the hype on Hornqvist is plenty justified, as was the hype on Neal was when he hit the jackpot and came to the Penguins.

I like Loui Loui. He slipped up during his adjustment period, no biggie.

Who's to say Hornqvist won't have a similar slip up this year in Pittsburgh, hmm???

Always take proven over less proven/ideal situation. Eriksson easily here. Cheers.

No, not that comparable, I agree. I was simply saying that I'd be cautious. I can see you are definitely drinking the Kool-Aid on Horny. 300+ shoots is a stretch considering only 3 players did that last year. (Ovi, Sharp and Kessel). The 25+ goals, 40 assist is reasonable.

Pre-lockout he had 3 straight seasons of 70 points. Lockout shortened season Dallas sucked, and no player really has a great season in years they get a concussion. Lots of guys say it takes them longer than they realized to feel totally normal again.

Loui is a pretty skilled, responsible, consistent guy. I'd take Hornqvist, but saying Eriksson is proven to suck is pretty short-sighted.

I'd put really good money on him shooting 300+ in Pittsburgh. He had 248 in 76 last year, a prorated 297 in 12/13, 230 in 76 in 11/12, 265 in 75 in 10/11 and 275 in 80 in 09/10. That's with mediocre centermen feeding him the puck.

The Pens consistently outshoot the Preds year in year out. And he'll have Crosby or Malkin feeding him the puck.

    I'd say 325 SOG.

Look at Neal - he was a 200 SOG guy in Dallas, and then he goes to the Pens and BOOM: 329 in 11/12, a prorated 280 during the lockout season, and then a prorated 320+ last year.

That's why Hornqvist owners are rejoicing, and Neal owners are weeping.

Agreed. Last year Loui played mostly with 3rd liners and still did alright considering the concussions.
