Is it a points only league or multi-cat, and if multi-cat, what do you reward points for? How many do you start at each position, or is it even positions?
Hello
i have back to back picks in our upcoming draft 15th and 16th overall. It is the actual draft class + leftovers... i wanna pick 2 forwards here, preferably wingers.
Already gone are:
Sam Reinhart
Sam Bennett
Leon Draisaitl
Michael Dal Colle
Jake Virtanen
Robbi Fabbri
William Nylander
Nikolaj Ehlers
Kasperi Kapanen
Nick Ritchie
Sonny Milano
Kevin Fiala
Brendan Perlini
Nikolay Goldobin
Here are some candidates that i like a lot, who should i draft?
Anthony Duclair, Kevin Hayes, Jiri Sekac, Devante Smith-Pelley, Tanner Pearson, Nikita Scherbak, Joshua Ho-Sang - players i could also take that are no forwards include Nikita Zadorov (i already have Ristolainen on Buffalo), John Gillies, Julius Honka and Jordan Subban (to early here - maybe with my 3rd rounder ?).
imediate impact is not a factor at all, i am only looking for the best "long term investments". Who has the highest upside, and who is most likely to reach it.
Any other players that i should be considering?
THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP - HIGHLY APPRECIATED

G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

My first instinct is Pearson and Gillies. Categories or scoring would help.
What are the restrictions on prospects in terms of who qualifies as one?
I have seen Ho-Sang in person and he definitely has skills, only thing is whether or not he has it mentally to make it big. I have also watched Zadorov live a number of times and think he will be a good NHL defenseman, but not sure about him being a big offensive producer. If it was me, I would take a shot on Ho-Sang and Scherbak

Thanks.
I prefer DSP out of that group, but hes already got 75 NHL games under his belt and soon ready for full time duty. Im not sure if you are looking for that type of player or one you can stash for a while.
Jakub Vrana, Anthony Duclair or even Anthony Deangelo are all solid options. I like Zadorov as well and think he is a sure thing.

I'd go with some combo of Smith-Pelly, DeAngelo, or Ho Sang. But I don't mind taking the homerun swings and hope they pan out.

...oh boy... this build is gonna be a while...
i'd go zadorov and probably DSP. or zadorov and a boom/bust guy like hosang/duclair if you want to maximize their prospect status
I know you want forwards, but I don't think I could pass up Zadorov. He's gonna be a beast in your league setup. Other choice would probably be Hayes, although DSP is another solid choice.
