    Default Keepers!

I have bolded them in my signature, what do you guys think? Any guys you might be on the fence with here?
I'm still trying to work a trade or two but it's getting harder to find anyone who wants my castaways.

McDonough vs Wis for me. Not casting Wis aside by any means, but MC-D is a guy I would have to have on my team. I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up a better +/- than Wis. Tough call there...

I agree with Bomm Bastic on McDonagh. I'd do Voracek over Vanek here too. A young guy on Girouxs wing who I see hitting 70 vs an aging guy on a defensive low scoring team in MIN.

Yeah I thought about that too, my reasoning was that Vanek would get the same amount of points, help me with Goals and diversify me with him being on a different team than Giroux

I see it as an opportunity to take advantage of a good thing. Just based off Vaneks playoffs too I'd worry. But it's close between the two.

What kind of players will be available to redraft and what picks do you have? Looking at your roster it would seem you are going to have some really nice talent on the redraft. Either way you have some tough, tough choices.

Nyquist could easliy be in for a regression of sorts next season based on his shooting percentage. 18.3 in through the roof and not repeatable. I wouldn't want to bet on more than 50 points from him next season and for that reason I would actually drop him.

I would keep Voracek in his place however.

After that it's a real question of which defensemen to keep. Josi doesn't get enough respect and just keeps getting better, but Wisniewski rattled off over 50 last year from the blueline. And with McDonaugh there ... ugh. Hell, even Phaneuf could be in the mix just for his PIMs (which I imagine you might struggle with next season - though maybe you can pick that up in the draft)

    So in short.

    Drop Vanek, Drop Nyquist
Keep Voracek, Keep Wisniewski (he'll get you some of those PIMs as well), and .... keep Josi or McDonaugh, whoever you like best.

Tbh those that we have suggested are on the bubble and the players you are dropping if try and trade for more 'safer' options for keepers - you have a few players that other GMs with less depth may be interested in

For sure, if you can pull it off. Tough to do these days in most leagues. At least the ones I am in.

If you aren't going to keep Voracek then trade him but I would keep him over Vanek and Nyqvist

Other than that your keepers look pretty good

    Thanks for the reply.

No not especially great choices to be honest, in a 16 team league where we keep 10 my team is actually looking pretty damn good. I don't have any superstars but I've got some top quality players as keepers.
The type of guys you might see available for the draft would be guys like Doan, Hemsky, Franzen, etc, but there should also be some talented young guys coming up (Schenn, Gallagher, Tarasenko maybe?) I usually try to go half and half between adding dependable vets and trying to land the next breakout player

Those would be my 10. Josi was my last drop. Weber and McD are your top 2 dman.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

I think you should consider trading some defenceman. I am not confortable with the idea of keeping 3 D and only 1 RW.

If you can't, I think Call of Doughty got it right.

As mentioned in some of the other posts, I would also Voracek over Nyquist and McDonough over Wis.
