Also, Why is a rain-out good for the Jays, because we have/had to travel today/last night? (not trying to be an ass here just curious?)

No real good reason, my internet and cable died yesterday and Rogers won't come to fix it till tomorrow afternoon LOL

Sorry about your plans lol, I actually was supposed to meet some buddies to watch the game tonight but I completely forgot about it until this morning after i'd already told my gf that I'd be coming home straight after work lol.

Ha, now I see that does suck...

A Sunday Double Header would be an excellent way to spend the day though!

A Sunday doubleheader would be prolly better for the jays than the Yanks. It would be interesting how they’d schedule football broadcasts tho.

Wouldn't it be easier for them just to schedule a double header for Saturday instead then? How do they usually determine the date for a double header makeup game?

The Saturday and Sunday games are at 1pm. Scheduling a DH during those games would create a “1pm, 7pm, 1pm” game schedule for the teams. 3 games in 24hrs is tough on the players, so they try and make it usually “1pm, 7pm, 7pm”. Jays are off Monday, but the Yankees play in Tampa at 7pm on Monday.

League could go either way, but my guess is a Sunday DH. They also like scheduling an extra game if they can in a following series, but because the next Yankees vs Blue Jays series is in Toronto, they can’t fairly schedule a game in Toronto to make up for a rain delay.

They can do a rare, extra day at the end of the yr to make it up. So October 1st they play.

A true doubleheader with only 30 minutes between end of game 1 and start of game 2...is what I heard.

Ugh... I cancelled a conference call and half-assedly rushed through a busy evening of work to get home to catch the 2nd half of the game only to find out it was PP'ed. ****!

If you think about it, pretty much 4 games over the span of under 48 hours. Insanity!

Well, if you live in Toronto it's supposed to rain all weekend. So there's no way you'll be able to do anything outside....

And while you're cleaning up inside, turn the tv up real loud and do things really half-assedly until the point when your wife just tells you to sit down and watch the game because you're just irritating her.

I may or may utilize the same strategy on my girlfriend this weekend.

I also may or may not be single after this weekend, but we'll let future bondon deal with that.

It also should be noted that this means Stroman will be starting the second game of the doubleheader, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on whether or not our players have better conditioning/are more or less banged up than their players are.

I feel like our depth/youth will work to our advantage in the 2nd game. The Jays have youth at CF (Pillar) so he’ll be able to play 2 games. Donaldson, Tulo, and Goins will play 2 games. Revere in LF will likely play 2 games (may not finish). Edwin DHing 1 game will likely happen, then 1B the 2nd maybe. 2 Solid Catchers behind the plate is a good option.

I’m just worried Stroman will get too antsy while watching the first game and go in and overthrow pitches because he’s amped. However, with his attitude, he’d be amped if it was playing the Phillies.

I definitely think the B2B works in the Jays favour given the roster's relative ages and the injuries that the Yanks have been dealing with this year. We are deeper and younger.

Unfortunately I'll have to miss the evening game due to prior "social" plans ugh...
