Let's start a new streak today boys!!

I've been a diehard Jays fan since attending my 1st game in 1979.. Exibition Stadium was a site for sore eyes, HaHa.. I remember it being really cold and breezy.. The winds would howl off of Lake Ontario..

My Aunt one a contest on the radio and I got to go spend a day with the City TV news crew and we got to tour the Jays locker room and I got to meet a few of the Jays including Jesse Barfield.. He gave me a bat and a garbage bag full of gum.. All bazooka joe gum, it was absolutely amazing!!

I love the old school Jays hats with the white in the front part.

Solid game today, although the 37 degree heat was brutal.

Wtf I thought I read that wrong at first and had to check lol. That's insane.

And kudos to Hutch today, I was definitely one of the non-believers but he pitched a great game. Well done.

If I recall, sportsnet threw up a stat of 6W-26L when the jays don't hit a home run. If they make the playoffs, me thinks they will need to find another way of generating wins without the long ball. Facing a shorter and strong rotations in the playoffs may prove more difficult in hitting home runs for this team....may....and if they get in of course.

They always seem to be swinging for the fences....

There needs to be a bit of a discussion within the team when Pillar is always going up to the plate looking to crush one into the 500s.

I wouldn't be too worried about what may or may not work come playoff time. The Jays just need to get in. And the way they've been going about it has them on pace to make it, especially if you factor in their huge run differential, which portends of continued success.

As for why am I not concerned come playoff time. It's because no one knows what works come playoffs. It's such a small sample size anything can happen. A hot run of homeruns could win them the World Series just as likely as a cold run of at bats could see them lose in the Wild Card game. I think playoffs are so fluky I'd rather go into the divisional round with the Phillies current roster than the wild card round with the '98 Yankees lineup. Anything can happen. Just get in.

I'd hope for them to win the division to avoid the 1 game wildcard playoff which is a bit of a joke to me .

it should at least be a best of 5 series (wildcard)

To anyone who is excited about Loup being sent down, don’t get too excited. I’m assuming it’s only for the Philly series to have an extra batter for interleague play. He’ll be back up by the end of the week.
