Toronto: Raycroft, but Owen Nolan has to be up there too. Boyes, McCauley and a first rounder that could have been Kesler, Richards or Perry for the tattered carcass of a guy who used to be a power forward.

Lesser known guy, but Mike Craig was another wretched Leaf. Cost the Leafs Zezel and Grant Marshall, and then just hung around being awful for three years, getting far too many top-six opportunities and taking pointless sticking penalties after the whistle.

What I have in mind are players that have come to epitomize bad management decisions, dark times for fans or missed opportunities. For example, this could be a bad signing, a bad trade, a notoriously bad draft decision, an over-the-hill legend who does not know when to quit or simply a player who symbolizes a particularly dark era in a franchise history (the captain or best player of a very bad hockey team).
First guy that comes to mind as a shame to Columbus... Nikita Filatov. Am I the only one?!

Another one that seemed obvious but I didnt see anyone else say was Todd Bertuzzi in Vancouver... Maybe he doesn't meet the above description but it's an infamous moment that will live on forever.

Daigle is a great choice for Ottawa, but I think Heatley definitely gets runner up haha! As for ATL, Heatley by a country mile.

Maybe the thread should be worst draft pick/over site, the worst player/person and worst trade.

Mike Illitch (and family) look like real douches on this one.

For Montreal, I'd take the Bob Gainey GM era.

Honourable mentions: Trading Chelios for Savard, and trading Leclair and Desjardins and Dionne for Recchi.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

Montreal - John Leclair and Eric Desjardins
florida - Dan Boyle (wasn't even a trade was a waiver loss)
Pittsburgh - they already had enough offence but losing Naslund
boston - Jim Carey (not that one)

    Good one.

How about the Rejean Houle / Mario Trembley era. That went well...

No one is wearing the number and I doubt anyone ever has under Illitch's watch, but it's not the same as having it properly hanging in the rafters. Konstantinov won't ever get #16 retired, but no one will ever wear that for Detroit again. Still not official.
    GO WINGS!
