Do people in this league hate trading or something? I have sent out at least a few offers every week and I can count the number of counter offers on 3 fingers. Generally a successful trade does't occur on the first offer. I view trading like a conversation. I offer something, you offer something back and maybe eventually we get to something we both like.

This league is not nearly as "active" as originally billed.

The problem is that we all know each other and in no way trust each other... lol

I counter when the original offer has something I'm interested in pursuing. The two you've sent just don't fall in that category. Eg I have no desire to trade either Rodgers or Ingram. I'd give you like. Sims or Mason for a 1 week QB rental. So if you're interested in that, I'm down. Otherwise, I really didn't have a counter for you.

    Seriously?
This is a great group of guys and VERY active.
As active as other good leagues.

If you count them up, the GMs in this league have made 183 waiver claims (add/drops) made between the 14 teams.
That's 13 per team over the first 8 weeks.

In your staff league, you've got 161 waiver claims (add/drops) made between the 12 teams.
    That's... about 13 per team.

Our league has made 4 trades this year.
Your staff league has 3 trades this year.

Staff league is full of inactivity unfortunately. I would never argue that league is more active than any other.

Please don't take things so personally. I never said this wasn't a great group of guys... everyone I've conversed with has been great.

I've always viewed trading as moving assets from a position of strength to address a position of weakness... unfortunately all I have right now are positions of mediocrity up and down the line-up.

Non-keeper football leagues are generally the hardest to make trades out of any sports. No one wants to trade superstars no matter how much they struggle because you always believe one or two good games and they are back on track. And with football having a shorter season (just 12 or 13 games before playoffs), it's even tougher to trade top guys.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

Hey I made a deal, and offered up Jimmy on the block. No one responded (until today). Now I have to start Jimmy tonight and kick some arse.

EDIT: as far as the staff league, my team rocks. why would i mess with it?

    Pleasure doing business.

My staff team is like 5th or 6th in scoring yet 2-6 :/ 5 more wins in a row to get that last playoff spot!

    Yeah good deal...

I got lucky in the staff league, able to get Luck late allowed me to focus on ppr friendly receivers and rbs early on.

As far as the dobber league, I always seem to draft an underachieving QB, 3 years ago it was Rivers, last year it was Luck (not his fault, I overvalued a year premature), this year it's Matty IceCold. These bye weeks are a bee-atch too.
