I think Callahan will be the safer bet... less points, but good peripherals.
I don't know... I don't necessarily seeing Kesler thrive in Anaheim.
Hi Guys,
How much of a gap do you think there is between Callahan and Kesler for next year? Categories are: G, A, Pts, +/-, PPP, HITS, SOG, PIM? I have both, but can only keep one. In my league, kesler has a much higher cap hit than callahan (auction based), so I could use the extra cap space by keeping callahan. Any projections would be great too.
Thanks

Slight edge to Kesler on points, a bit of an edge in PIM and a bigger edge in +/-,
Pretty even on SOG/PPP.
Hits I'd have to look up.
It really depends on how big of a cap difference you're looking at?
Kesler for me. But as mentioned ^, depends on cap difference. Kesler is the better offensive weapon here IMO.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

I would keep Callahan. He should have a more stable presence in my opinion and we already got a glimpse of how he fits in with TB (averaged just over half a point a game, with about half of those on the PP).

11 points in his first 15 with the lightning, then 0 over his last 5 including 0 points in 4 playoff games (5 SOG). Me thinks Palat, Johnson, Drouin, Killorn and Kuch might have something to say about his powerplay time. I'm neither a fan of both, but I would draft Kesler over Cally in most league formats. Cally just doesn't scream offence IMO. Shot blocking, hits, hell yes!

Thanks for the replies. If they are within about 10 pts, (ie cally = 50, kesler = 60 pts) with similar peripherals then I would probably stick with callahan since I could certainly use the extra cap space. Based on some of the responses so far, it sounds like people believe that they are probably that close. Thoughts? Also, where would jeff carter fit in with those two with the same cats?
