Which D for my keepers?

12 team league H2H G A +/- PIM sog PPP

I have a surplus of quality D men and can only keep 3 of 4.
Who would you keep?

Pietrangelo
Letang
OEL
Suter

If it was last season OEL would be the man out, but he is becoming very elite and dobber has him ranked higher than suter now.

Please post projections for next season for them if you can.

I would trade suter or piterangelo to upgrade another keeper as I would hate to cut any of those... Letang is the dark horse - does he bounce back?

I'd drop Letang. His injuries, and the upside/current production of the other three are really great.

really? even with a injury riddled season letang scored 11 goals in 37 games. I suppose you are right though and his stroke last year has me worried, but it's hard as a pens fan to drop letang. My other keepers are Malkin, Zetterberg and Backstrom(wsh)

I've tried to trade Suter/OEL for a 5th round pick but no bites and keepers are due tomorrow now.

I would offer backstrom + a d man to upgrade but as you are running out of time the other three are safer bets for me and I'd drop Letang (hate the idea though)

I would have to think you may get a bite on a Letang for low round pick for all the reasons as above. Don't forget there are a few good young D coming into the Pens system, and while I really like Letang he doesn't have the healthiest track record (not just from the stroke). It would be a sad time to drop him, but if you want keepers you know the other three are keepers for a long time. And you will likely be able to get him back in your redraft if everyone else has the same worries...

thanks guys, I sent out offers like Letang/Suter available for a 5th rounder. I even suggested Suter/Letang +1st round for a top 3 overall pick since I'm picking near the bottom and elite goalies will be slim by then.

Hopefully Letang stays healthy for you next season. Good job getting an asset for someone you were going to have to drop though. Those little things can make a big difference.

Even better! Even with his season last year, in only a 12 team league I can't see a reason he would be a keeper, assuming you don't have that many forward spots to hold onto.

we actually have a keeper point system and rookies count for 1 keeper point. goalies are worth 5 forwards 3 and defense 2. Each team gets 15 keeper points, it's a little different from most leagues but it's worked out very well.
