    Question Yandle or OEL

Want to tap into the wisdom here to get a read on who you think will have a better year this upcoming season...Yandle or Oliver Ekman-Larsson?

League gives double for goals than assists. +/- is half the points of an assist.

    For easy reference 2014 stats:
    Yandle - 8G 45A -23
    OEL - 15G 29A -4

So basically under my leagues scoring they were basically the same last year. Who do you think is going to be better next year?

Bonus question - Do you think these guys will be better, worse, or the same as last year?

    Thanks!

Yandle will be better this year IMHO and could be even better if moved to the right team... Though if he does bring back the forward package that they expect then there may not be a big difference between them as OEL then becomes the number one offensive threat from the blueline

I'm concerned Phoenix is going to be even worse next year. These guys will get lots of PP and ice time, but does it matter if team doesn't score much and they have a really bad +/-?

I would go with Yandle in fantasy hockey, for one-year, upcoming year, only.

I say OEL all day...even in one year leagues.....this is the year he jumps yandle's production, and Arizona finally pulls the trigger on a trade to get some more help up front for shipping yandle away

In a points-only situation, it's Yandle every time

OEL is already a better all-around defenseman than Yandle. He has already surpassed Yandle. But he will never surpass Yandle in points and offensive upside, barring injury (of which Yandle gets none)

In a keeper I'd get on the OEL bandwagon asap since he's the future of their blue line

But in a 1yr league you have to go with Yandle

I'm going with OEL, i'm a OEL owner so I am probably a little biased but....

anyone that can pull that off and is known more for their steady all around ability has some serious untapped offensive potential.

^ Agree with this. If/when yandle leaves, OEL will soar! Yandle gets my vote.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
