Points only for next season, who do you pick, Neal or Gaborik?

I'll take Gaborik here, plum spot next to Kopitar. If NSH acquires an elite offensive Center, I might change my mind. But at this point, I think it's gotta be Gaborik.

    Good question.

I'm sitting on Gaborik, Neal, Druin, Thornton, Palat, Johnson... Only room to keep 3 of them. Fantasy-points only, league in Sig... Emphasis on SOG and Goals..

I'm so torn lol. I would pick Neal, but that might just be who I'm leaning towards as a keeper.

Whatever you're predicting for Gaborik, expect him to miss time. I would not project more than 60 games for him in any season. With that in mind, Neal is my choice here.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

In the interests of full disclosure, and weighing benefits/burdens on either side of this coin, James Neal is going to miss games via suspension/injury, as well. I'd pencil him in for about 65+ games and Gaborik for 60+ Given that the difference between the two is likely negligible, and Gaborik showed amazing chemistry with Kopitar during the playoffs, Gaborik is the safer choice. Not a safe choice, but the safer choice.

Not a fun call, but as of right now I would go Gaborik. Neal needs a center to help him score, he isn't a creator - Gabbie has so much more of that and Kopitar.

Spot on analysis Shoeless. The signing of O.Jokinen today still won't help Neal.

I'd take Neal, too many injury issues with Gaborik for me to trust him (i realize Neal isn't ironman but still)

Gabby for me... he's way more talented than Neal and surrounded by a better cast. He'll miss 20 games, but I can just bench him when that happens.

Neal is swimming in shit in Nashville, and he's already shit to start with.

Gaborik for next year. I'm betting Gabby explodes for a nice amount of points next year. It's after that, that he really scares me.

Every 2 or 3 years Gaborik plays near a full season and puts up big points. LA/Kopitar will give him every opportunity to succeed this year where he didn't have it with NYR and CLBs for a long time. Neal ONLY had major success in PIT so its a bit of a reset with him in NSH. That whole team is a big wait and see for us post Trotz.
