If there's going to be any sign-and-trades in this day and age, this would be prime opportunity for it. Berglund was RFA with just a year away from UFA-status. Don't think teams like Ottawa or Vancouver would have been that high on trading for him when he could have just taken one year deal and then walked away. This new deal gives them security, they'll know he's locked up for the next three years. This should definitely help Berglund's trade value.
