Seems a bit to me like he questions it just because it isn't clear on their faces. In any event, their accomplishments speak for themselves.
He's simply stating a fact. The faces of the NHL have been trained to be media zombie. That's been one of my own criticisms of the NHL as well, and I totally agree with him. It's why he loves Kane and Subban as well - guys who are highly skilled but don't fit the boring media mold of polite Canadian boy who does nothing wrong. (I know Kane is not Canadian before anyone jumps on that)

No he wouldn't. There would be a post 5 minutes later about how Ho-Sang is the next upcoming NHL star.

Wouldn't mind taking a 2nd on him. Would not take him in the 1st unless really late.

I would be disappointed if we took him, or if we grabbed a 1st and took Fabbri.

I think he makes some very good points. Is he supposed to talk like that, or bring up the race card? No, but I think it's justified. He will learn maturity and to be a team player, but I think he will always have that spark, and I don't think he will ever be a cliche machine... And I don't think that's a bad thing.

Oh man, your user name made me think of hanging onto Kiril Kabanov for WAY too long.

Playing the race card is totally justified when his coach is calling him a Harlem Globetrotter, and everything is being likened to basketball, etc. That is ACTUAL racism, and there is absolutely no question that in a reserved, gentlemenly sport such as hockey -- controlled and operated predominantly by old, white men -- Joshua Ho-Sang has been hurt because of his parentage (Jamaican / Jewish). It's 100% ignorant to suggest otherwise, I mean, c'mon ... do you live on Earth? Are you so thick to believe the whole 'racism is over' narrative? Gimme a break.

This kid has serious talent, and judging by his answers given in the interview he seems like a very composed, respectful, hardworking, intelligent young man who happens to be brimming with confidence. Not one single comment he made was overtly disrespectful, and the only remark that could even be interpreted as such was a TRUE statement that Crosby, Toews, Datsyuk are media robots. That's just a fact -- and this is coming from a massive, unapologetic Crosby fanboy.

Seriously people, it's time to get your heads out of your rear-ends and realize that this is just another kid who has dazzling talent and wants to make an impact in the NHL. Sure there's risk, but very little to none of it has to do with his attitude or behavior. Draft accordingly, GMs.

You clearly know nothing about the player.

I'm not questioning minor issues with the player. This is a 17-18 year old kid we're talking about ... but he's no Tony DeAngelo.
