Default Brassard in NY...what to expect?

Does this guy has the upside to become a 60 Pts player? Does Richards buyout changes anything for him? Vigneault seems to like him a lot....thoughts?

45-55 is the likely range for him, he might be able to flirt with 60 occasionally

I bet he is the third line center to start next year... or traded.
After the playoff exit, I can see Sather making a move for a big (physically speaking) center.

his average ice time was less than both Stepan and Richards last season by about 2 and 3 minutes respectively, so he kinda already was the 3rd line center for the majority of the time

i know... my thinking was that he isn't going to get a big jump because richards is leaving town. I would expect more of the same as last year (45 points).

i think a full season of chemistry with Zucc and finally knowing the system might lead to a little more than 45 points, the whole team was pretty brutal to start the season and i don't expect a similar start this coming season

45-50 if playing full-time 3rd line minutes with zuc and another linemate where they show some chemistry. theres a chance martin st.louis will be that guy which would bump them up to 2nd line. 55 and maybe even 60 is possible in that scenario.

This, and expectations should be more in line with the 45pt end of the spectrum. Cheers.

From what I gather NYR are actually very happy with Stepan and Brassard's development this season and playoffs. They could go into next season with them as their 1-2 and be fine with it. If that's the case, then 40 pts is probably the basement for Brassard per 82.

If the Rangers don't add anybody this off season to be either their #1 or #2 centerman, and play the entire season with Stepan and Brassard as their top two down the middle, the Rangers WILL not make the playoffs in 2014/15!!

It might be a bold statement, and I may take some heat for it, but its truly how I feel..

This is why I feel Joe Thornton will be heading to Gothem City!! HaHaHa..
